If I was surprised to read the title of this article, you probably can not be the only ones. Microsoft had announced last year that it would close its service Windows Live Messenger, while users of this service will be passed to Skype.

However, even though the vast majority of users all over the world have started to use Skype-n, Windows Live Messenger even now continues to be widely used. This service is otherwise known as the 'MSN Messenger'.

Users of this service are notified with an electronic message that MSN Messenger will close on October 31. To encourage users to still use Microsoft services, and not to use messaging services to its rivals, the company will provide each user with a coupon from two dollars to make phone calls from Skype.
