Researchers Researchers at the State University of North Carolina (USA) have created a device that will enable communication between people and dogs. This apparatus, which owns several different sensors can be placed on the dog. Internet wireless sensors can determine when dogs are running, standing, even when crossing borders.
The team has developed this software to collect, interpret these data and to translate human demand on signs to devices through speakers and vibrating equipment. This system can be useful to train dogs that are used for the salvation of men.
"We have developed a communication platform between people and dogs that paves the way for new ways of interpreting the behavior of dogs and to send clear signals to them," said Dr. David Roberts, who developed the system. Currently this device is just a prototype, but its developers have promised that over time will improve and develop further with other applications.
"Dogs usually communicate through body language, and one of our challenges was to create sensors that tell us about their behavior by observing their activities," said Roberts. Technology also includes physiological sensors that monitor heart rate or body temperature of dogs.
