Chinese state media has called the iPhone as a threat to national security because the phone can record location intelligent. Television channel CCTV reported that the feature "Frequent Locations" can be used to extract information about the location of a person.
One researcher interviewed by television channel said the information was "extremely sensitive" and could reveal "state secrets".
Apple said the feature Frequent Locations "can trace places where the user has been lately, and how often frequents this place, in order to determine places that are important to users. These data will be stored on the device and will not be sent to Apple without the user's consent.
