Over one thousand people were killed by the powerful earthquake that hit Nepal in the early hours of Saturday. The epicenter of the quake was in an area 77 kilometers north-west of the capital Kathmandu.
The quake triggered avalanches in mountain largest in the world, Everest, blocking hundreds of climbers. 17 dead bodies have been recovered from a base camp at Mount Everest, where one of the victims learn to be Dan Fredinburg, an engineer of Google, from California, due to injuries to the head during the avalanche. Three other workers Google were Fredinburg, but not suffered any injury.
Fredinburg was passionate climbers. He has climbed the highest peaks in the world, like Mount Everest, Kilimanjaro, Elbrus, etc. He has fired some fantastic photos Google Maps service. A day before the earthquake happened, Fredinburg distributed a photo on Instagram (picture below) which shows that it was the 22 th of hiking.
